 Bio

Emily Donovan is a Colorado-based artist, mother, and environmental advocate. A single mom of two autistic children, she relocated from New Jersey to Colorado in pursuit of greater opportunities for her family and to follow her passion as an artist. Emily studied Fine Arts and History at Georgian Court University, where she developed a strong foundation in creative expression and historical storytelling.

As the first artist in the United States to incorporate Photio—an innovative environmental technology that enables paint to mimic the air-purifying effects of trees through a photosynthesis-like process—Emily merges art with sustainability. Her work is deeply rooted in environmental awareness while also serving as a platform for the silenced, overlooked, and forgotten. Through her art, she seeks to inspire meaningful conversations about social and environmental responsibility while creating work that leaves a positive impact on both people and the planet.
